"Smart" or eco mode inverters will sit in a low consumption stand by mode ...I see smart inverters on ebay, but whats the difference between one & a non smart inverter?
Post a link ....So I see on ebay a 3000w Smart Inverter, it has a no load current of 0.5Amp, so thats a smart Inverter? thanks
I'd be amazed if not gobsmacked IF that came anywhere near of its claimed specs I'm afraid .3000/4000/6000/8000W Vehicle Smart Inverter Pure Sine Wave for Vehicle Appliance | eBay
It has a continuous 500 watt output (3000 watt surge capacity). There is a temperature sensor built into the inverter. When the temperature exceeds 45℃, the fan will work automatically. When the temperature exceeds 75°C - 80°C, the inverter will be in protection mode until it cools down.www.ebay.co.uk

Fingers burned many times in my early days buying LED torches for exploring old mines ....I agree with you oh learned one 100%.
Generally speaking we will always ignore any eBay item where the seller has lower than 99% seller rating and this seller doesn't!
Furthermore this seller isn't a specialist and appears to sell an exceptionally wide range of products!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I purchased a 12 volt Fridge/Freezer for my time in a tent. They are so much better than they used to be.An inverter for a fridge needs to be a pure sinewave one. I have a (bloody expensive) 90l 12v compressor fridge from Thetford on my van and complemented with a 22l fridge/freezer from Amazon like this one: https://amzn.eu/d/7QWyXHp I now have ice cream and other frozen foods I could not store in the main fridge.
Dont think mine is p sinewave, seems to work very well as no fancy electronics in a fridge. An inverter for a fridge needs to be a pure sinewave one. Smart inverters give you control and optimization, adjusting as needed to keep things running smoothly, while non-smart inverters just handle the basics. It’s all about efficiency and insight!I see smart inverters on ebay, but whats the difference between one & a non smart inverter?
