Basic conversion thoughts re batteries

Have bought a Renault Master minibus to replace my Trafic to get more space. Leisure battery usage in the past has been for a small ice box compressor fridge, cold water pump and lighting. On campsites I run the fridge on hook up.
For give my ignorance but wondering if I could link another starter battery to leads to the wheel chair ramp (very large cables to the vehicle battery) and effectively increase the capacity of the vehicle battery.
Advice would be appreciated.

There is no real problem with parallel connecting another starter battery to the existing one , It would be best to match so both the same.

Just remember to fit a fuse to each end.
