The bed/sofa box frame constructed (as was all of the rest of the interior frame work) out of very inexpensive, 25 x 50 mm roofing laths.

Bed showing the slide out to almost full width. Because it wasn't quite wide enough I created some clip in extensions to bring the bed up to a full 4' 6" width. From start to finish we can now change the sofa to a fully finished made up bed in approx. 1 minute.
