    Manual drill question

In which case Tookey you'll need more than a hand drill, probably at least a 10 ton trolly/bottle jack plus an array of spanners and sockets relevant to your van suspension, to include a versatile and sturdy ball joint splitter along with a Birmingham screw driver ( Big hammer) 😁 Phil.

Bloody hell, what do you guys do when your away, I've been motorhoming for near on 25 years and never had the need for a drill or jigsaw for that matter. Manual drill question

Cobolt in my view are a standard drill bit I have no argument with that but all this double point cutting bits that are almost impossible to reface properly are ali Ridculously priced and do no more than any standard drill does if correctly sharpened. Phil

    Manual drill question

I've always found that a correctly sharpened hardened steel drill bit did what I required, without paying copious amounts of money for a difficult to sharpened multipoint money pit 😄. Phil

    Manual drill question

Well Tookey, I have used manual drills on many occasions in my life and never had a problem, the main thing to remember is that the drill bit is sharp and the sharpening is done at the correct angle if this is done correctly then very little pressure is required to drill through most materials...

Fitting the rooflights, be very aware!

I had leak in my yacht side window years ago, and I bought some of captn Tollys, your meant to drip it on where the leak is and it self seeks and seals the leak, it was totally useless in my case as after several tries it didn't stop a drop getting in, in the end I had to remove the window and...

    Humble Road Van #2

A truly wonderful build, my conclusion though would be price of build materials ( The aluminium extrusion in America is probably cheap in comparison to the UK), and build weight, I don't know but maybe in America the vehicle weight limits are not as strict as in Europe one other thing I noted is...

Replacing double swivel with single, citroen relay.

Well if you think about it Nab you first of all have to purchase the steel and even that's not cheap now a days, round or square section you would be surprised I think how much steel section you would need to construct it properly, say the steel cost £30 and most fabricaters charge on average...

Replacing double swivel with single, citroen relay.

Yes you can but most folk haven't got the welding equipment available or indeed the correct skill to weld it up safely, and paying someone else to do would be pricey to say the least 😏. Phil

    Flexible gas pipe?

Phil, I've been bar b queuing with an orange flexi gas pipe that's been out in the elements for 6 or 7 years it's now no longer orange because of the UV and cracking on the surface, however the rubber internal bore is fine, obviously I wouldn't use this state of pipe in an enclosed environment...

Replacing double swivel with single, citroen relay.

Rec it's been sometime since I fitted two single swivel seats into my 2014 Ducato, but I do remember that initially I was disappointed by the fact that it seemed to be a high driving position but I soon got used to it and now do not even think about it.what I did note was the cost of a single...

Chinese android sat/Nav radios for Fiat/Renault and Peugeot vans

Agreed, I also keep them for mixing 2 pack epoxy glue and as a filler spreader, but in the case of removing these Ducato radios because they are such a tight fit you need something thin but strong and does not bend easily 🙂. Phil
