  1. consumer unit and 12v

Cheers, it had to be somewhere! I think the wiring in the box at the moment - several mains cables from the MCB's - is for various different things i.e. sockets, heater, fridge, batt charger... Edit, there is another diagram further on that shows more appliances - there is an electric fire and...
  2. consumer unit and 12v

Actually, I think I've found a diagram. https://www.bailey-parts.co.uk/HandbookDetails.aspx?Model=H01H&Type=S Select service manual, 2007, discovery 5, mercury and the diagram is on page 17. It might be easier to save a copy of the PDF as it opens in a small frame. If it's the right one...
  3. consumer unit and 12v

One side of most of the fuses (take the lighting ones as a starting point) are all joined to the same point - and probably a red wire. This wire ultimately needs to be connected to the +ve of the battery. You might find it's routed through the fuse labelled van battery +. Just trace it through...
  4. consumer unit and 12v

Check the other mains cables are insulated before you plug this in lol. So, the wires that go in to the top of the RCD - that's the orange wire right? This needs 240V. The top of the MCB with charger label should now become live. This should then somewhere loop around to the kettle plug in the...
  5. consumer unit and 12v

    Pictures mate.
  6. Removable Electrics.

Sounds fine mate. Forgive me if stating the obvious, but fuse your fly lead that plugs into towing socket near the leisure battery as well - often overlooked.
  7. Interior lining - started

You can get a spray glue for carpet fitting which is perfect. Not the material I'd choose mind lol. Fair play though, we're all different and good to see diy stuff :)
  8. Super Scrimper Conversion started

Don't use this on its own. It's a very good relay as it's simple to wire, but the relays inside are around 10A each (batt and fridge) only. Use this to switch a high current relay that actually joins the two batteries.
  9. Installing the electrics - guides?>

Here's a guide: 1) Get an electrician. Seriously, don't mess around with it if you don't know what you're doing. Even if someone explains what they think you want step by step there are things to catch you out.
  10. The new van

    Cool. More pics!
  11. The new van

Was it an office or something then? Should be good :)
  12. Zig unit wiring

It's not difficult, but then I suppose brain surgery isn't either. If you're a brain surgeon. There will be a few things to catch you out, so perhaps best to get someone to do it with you. It's not really something I'd like to do via a forum - especially the mains side.
