Do you leave a heater on, in your van?

When it comes to using energy I have to say I am tighter than a ducks a*se !! "Millie" is parked up on SORN from Oct. 31st normally through until at least March at the very earliest but normally May 1st during which time, for most of the time I don't even go into her, however the 3 x MPK...

    My Overland Camperbus Conversion

Dave; way back in my caravan days I always used to write that the most overlooked and generally unloved part of any caravan was the roof...... And yet people used to complain about leaking skylights, cracked mastic in the awning rails and black streaks all over their caravan sides. It is...

Could you imagine a double decker with extendable sides on the lower level. Mind you, anyone who watches the F1 circus at any of the European races will see the enormous/palatial mobile lounges used by the Fi teams all of which are nothing else than a glorified mobile home! Just imagine...

As Darcar so rightly wrote, the efficiency of this, the very best, kind of insulation has to be experienced to be believed. I do appreciate there would be a problem if you had a prang and wanted to have a panel repaired, and as for the rust problem, if you cure and thoroughly treat any rust...

Thistle - Ex Ambulance to...... well hopefully something else

I have so greatly enjoyed reading thoroughly through your postings to date most especially your former interest in the MG mark as I own a low mileage, loved and pampered 'F'. There is one matter I picked up on and which I was happy to read that @trevskoda did as well, namely your use of...

All that lovely spray foaming, the very best and most thermally efficient insulation to be used, I can't remember, did you do it yourself Darren or have one of the professionals do it for you? Phil

Darren, you most certainly haven't annoyed me, in any case your experience and valued attention to detail combine to make your involvement in discussions so very valuable even if you do drive around in a slow heavy weight old Merc. !!;) However as a Renault Master owner, I must correct you on...

Which is why the Sevel vans are the most popular normal vans to convert. Those extra few cms. and the overall squareness are what makes for such an enormous difference.

    Tinted windows 70% or 80%

Well Dave, in most instances that I have come across it is people fitting bonded windows who go on about the levels of tint. No doubt some people do, but as yet I haven't seen people fitting sealed unit items such as the Seitz windows I fitted and who then tint them. Phil

    Tinted windows 70% or 80%

I honestly can't understand people fitting bonded glass. OK a van fitted with bonded glass does look better, but my number one priority is to have a van which is most user friendly which is why I went for Zeiss which of course have built in flyscreens as well as black out blinds. But as with...

Phil............. Is there or rather are there things you would have done differently to the layout or specification of your van if you were going to do another one? By the way I think it looks a cracking job. ATB Phil
