    Not a Self-build, but a Tweaker

Apologies as you will have mentioned these new batteries somewhere else but what are they? I am going with the type you recommended for my particular needs but I am still interested

    Jerry can holder

Spreading the weight is what I'm hoping the length of steel does. Nabism recommended this company in another thread; https://www.ecfibreglasssupplies.co.uk/ I have emailed them asking advice as well. I will share reply (y)

    Jerry can holder

I agree with your point but the weakest element of my Delica is it can be tippy and I don't want any weight up top other than a couple of PV panels (awning is off). Fibre glass can cope with fixed ladders, bike racks and cargo boxes. Unless I get a general consensus of 'don't do it' I am gonna...

    Jerry can holder

I had read that so wanted an old one but after further reading that seemed hit and miss as well! Unless someone gives a reason not to I'm getting these........they are too important to cut corners and gamble on quality. They are a tenner more than army surplus but so be it...

    Jerry can holder

Presently I plan to buy the holders in the link https://www.jerrycans.co.uk/product/20litre-holder/ I am fixing on to fibre glass; I am thinking internally firstly to increase the thickness by using a fibre glass repair kit with that armid tape I have been recommended, then glueing a length of...

    Not a Self-build, but a Tweaker

When you've finished your MH I'm going to leave mine unlocked on your driveway in the middle of the night as I know you just cant help yourself

Do I temper my spend or not?

If you want to PM me a brief description of the camper and price feel free as I know a couple of people that are hanging on until spring before they get serious about viewings.

Do I temper my spend or not?

Fair play, I hope you find someone that appreciates your set up. Let us know when it goes on ebay so we can read the 3 page electrical system description.....try and leave out the graphs and spread sheets!!

Do I temper my spend or not?

......but you like high standard finishes as is shown in your build. David wont put rubbish in there so they get a working system and save 500 quid which they can invest into the van in their chosen area if they want to. David also gets the 3000 in his MH. Personally when I was viewing I was...

Do I temper my spend or not?

In my opinion remove the 12/3000 and put 'no name' in the camper. I suggest the majority would not want to pay the extra £500 as a working system will be what all they want and the few that know their stuff will just consider it as a future upgrade.

    Vent Windows

The fact that you could be bothered to do those templates suggests a quality build is hatching (y)

Do I temper my spend or not?

I suspect the thought of having to juggle power sends shivers down Wilde's back

Do I temper my spend or not?

I get the impression that you want the 3000 but are struggling to justify it.....I don't think you need to justify it, many peoples hobbies include spending money on whacking golf balls into little holes or catching fish and putting them back and they have nothing to show for it (you will) but...

Water tank, anyone used this company?

Its WRAS approved polymer which is good enough for me https://www.wras.co.uk/approvals/what_is_a_wras_approval/

    Damn, so sorry honey

The ladder was the bumper but the energy release point was the fixing point

    Damn, so sorry honey

I I want to keep the ladder, I have a ceiling vent cover, flue and will have a PV panel up there and could well be in a situation where ladders are not available. Ladder extension is an idea but the closest solid point is under the lip of the body and the 18 inches back to the chassis.

Water tank, anyone used this company?

Black tanks are available but I plan to box this but want to keep a water level window so wanted translucent. I'm sure somewhere the website said their tanks are for potable water but you are correct that it doesn't state it on that page. Will check. Ty

    Damn, so sorry honey

Ty, but not bad luck tbh, completely my fault. She is a bit gutted but has got over it and is now pointing out that I will now have a better idea how to fit Jerry can holders and now cant procrastinate with the shower any longer as there isn't one anymore! I am a lucky chap
