From memory Think the Victor FD series was earliest... Released in 1967 CF was released slightly later in 1969...but used the same slant 4 Vauxhall made a big deal of the slant 4 being belt driven rather than the usual (for the time) chain

Electrical Installation - a bit of market research .....

Go for it..... It'll be a step forward from the Skodas.... (as long as its not a S110r ;-).... I'd swap a kidney for the one I missed owning by a hairs breadth)

Electrical Installation - a bit of market research .....

The 3 x 100ah Lucas batteries I fitted to the transit camper I built are still capable of doing useful work 5 plus years after I bought and fitted them.... 2 x 100a basic solar panels and a £20 pwm charge regulator + a £40 durite vsr Plus the occasional charge via a 7 stage smart charger in the...

    Domestic mains Fridges

Lower than design temps with a fridge just make it more likely to run colder as the condenser coil becomes super efficient at shedding heat.... And leading to over condensing (probably start to get the inside running colder than set on the stat and possibly freezing in the fridge section) Not...

    Domestic mains Fridges

Frankly a standard compressor fridge should easily cope with most situations unless your visiting the Sahara or the Arctic as compression refrigeration is far more tolerant of temp ranges.... Aided by what you are actually cooling is a small and usually enclosed area not subject to high heat...

    Domestic mains Fridges

Invertor compressor (NOT invertor powered) fridges are becoming more common these days (and coming down in price too) Won't be long till all fridges will be the same as the aircon units we fit and maintain/repair have done over the last few years. Vastly more efficient than none invertor and...

Apart from the sevel vans, are any vans wide enough for a full size bed past the ribs

Same here transverse bed is frankly a pain with it always seeming to be that one has to camber over the other to get out... It's why I built the one in our old transit lengthways to take a decent double mattress. Much more practical in many ways than the over cab transverse in our current...

    Solar Install

Munsen rings are very handy (range, of sizes/diameters and materials are available.... Rubber insulated or plain... Nyloc locking nuts are an excellent idea (I've used them on all my solar fixings for belt and braces)

    Chinese diesel ducting

Will all due respect.... There's a world of difference between cylinder heads and ducting.... As I'm sure you are well aware... Even with my tiny knowledge of porting/tuning 2 stroke 50ccs... I know that smoothest doesn't always provide the best flow/power....

    Chinese diesel ducting

Nearly 30 years of aircon ductwork.... Flexible (ribbed/corrugated) ducting kills airflow that's why in ducting installs most of it is in solid/smooth unless unavoidable or terminations.

    Chinese diesel ducting

Possibly.... However You might need to be careful they don't draw the air through the heater and over cool it. The correct way would be to size the ductwork correctly for the maximum run the manufacturers specify. eberspacher details on here... https://www.pfjones.co.uk › ...PDF Fitting...

    Chinese diesel ducting

Be careful of flow restrictions.... 14m is a fair run of pipework. You can end up with overheat faults if it's restricted too much.
