Well done, now time to enjoy it. (y)

    12volt Compressor

When I was looking for a decent one to get my rear tyres to 65 PSI I narrowed it down to the T-Max or RAC900. I picked up a barely used RAC900 for half price and it is just brilliant, compact, very quiet, and inflates fast.

Great job, it's certainly an unusual design. (y)

    Flicking Lights

LED bulbs when on a mains dimmer switch often flicker if set too low, so maybe the same principle?

    Meter Leads ...

It just plugs into meter, I was 35c. 😆

    Meter Leads ...

Well it says 1000A overload protection <60 secs. I blew the fuse on my other cheapy meter and it's a glued together! 😆

    Meter Leads ...

It was £19.80 but gave me £3.60 discount for some reason? There are two very similar models of this, only one does dc amps via clamp. Not tested it much but it seems fine for my purpose...

    Meter Leads ...

With cheaper meters lead quality is always a bit of a gamble. I've had a few break at the probe connection so an awkward repair. A clamp meter costing £16 arrived yesterday which also measures dc amps, leads are not bad either. 🙂

    Upgrading and sussing out electrics.

Well that may expIain the latter if the builders followed the same?

It doesn't help when people ignore the wire colours. Those wires that I removed - notice that the red is to blue, and black to brown. I also noticed that a blue was the positive and brown negative at my solar regulator to LB. Hmmn, there seems to be a theme here?

That's correct, they can only move if the moho was upside down, so would be the least of our worries. 😉

    Upgrading and sussing out electrics.

Mine is 2005 but think yours is a little later? I've noticed that there can be big revisions in just a year or two, like a taller fridge/freezer etc. I'm not keen on the Kenwood media centre, it's a PITA waiting for the screen to slide out and elevate, it still serves a purpose but much less...

    Upgrading and sussing out electrics.

I'm now reasonably sure that the blue and brown wires would have originally connected the top left Electroblock plug to the far right two connectors on the block shown, and that someone has cut them at some time and attached the black/red for some purpose which has now become defunct. I've just...

    Upgrading and sussing out electrics.

Thanks, the inverter leads are as you said, all other loads are on right +ve and left -ve, so the opposite. The connecting battery -ve lead is 6" longer (with the extra 6" link) than the +ve so quite balanced I think. But guess I really ought to fit the shunt between the battery and ALL loads...

    Upgrading and sussing out electrics.

Since full-timing for over 2 months now I've been sussing out how best to improve my power generation and it's been a useful learning curve. We have a 120w solar panel and had a PWM regulator which wasn't very confidence inspiring and also found that the wire from the VSR was way undersize...

    Diesel Heater On All Night

On ours if the wind blows on the near side then we get a draught through the oven vent. Not that we use it but our diesel heater is also on that same side. So maybe how the wind blows?

    VSR cable size?

I decided to go the B2B route instead of VSR as it will be more beneficial for me, but still needed to upgrade the cable size to 16mm2.
