  1. TANKLESS WATR HEATER

Got the CPA6 from hamilton gas products in an outside cupboard with chimney. Works perfect, I'd recommend them for anyone. Also have the redring 6L electric and even though I have 600ah of lithium batteries, 1000w solar and live in Portugal I still use the gas heater as it uses such little gas...
  2. Not a Self-build, but a Tweaker

Me too, but I've found those temperature sensors aren't very reliable and completely break so carry a spare.
  3. Habitation check results

Those Paloma's were in motorhomes all through the 80's and 90's. I had that exact one in my 1988 Talbot.
  4. Eberspacher ducting.

I paid around £25 a meter from my 90mm, thought it was a bit pricey at the time!
  5. Favourite 3 tools

Ideal stripmaster's are the best wire stripping tools I've used. I got a used pair probably from the 60's or 70's on ebay for cheap...
  6. Blanking off manifold compression end

Thanks. They're actually local to me too :)
  7. Blanking off manifold compression end

Anyone know the best way of blanking off the other side of a manifold? It's a 2 way manifold, so I don't know why they don't provide some sort of blanking nut. I bought an 8mm end cap but that means I need to have a copper pipe coming from the joint to blank off, surely there's a better way?
  8. Domestic mains Fridges

The inventor fridge I have (on your recommendation) is a N-ST. It's been running solid for 10 months in Portugal, at times my van has been up to 38 degrees when all the doors are shut and I'm elsewhere. Works perfect, however, I needed to put a temperature controlled fan (120mm) blowing on the...
  9. LPG vs Diesel heaters for winter travel Pros & cons

If you're as serious as the original posts suggests then just get both.
  10. Water tank, anyone used this company?

They're a Wydale reseller http://www.wydaleplastics.co.uk/ I have a 175L tank for them with no baffles. I get no issues with water sloshing around, you don't need to worry about baffles until 250L+. It holds water and doesn't leak, what more do you need from a tank.
  11. To grease or not to grease!

Top tip, pull your seat belts out and spray them with that silicone spray. Silky smooth operation once more.
  12. Junkers Bosch 10 litre electric heater

    Good to know, where from?
  13. Junkers Bosch 10 litre electric heater

Ah very good. I’m in PT now too! I broke it because I’m an idiot that didn’t understand how to plumb and learnt the hard way, I ended up destroying the connector as I didn’t realise there’s not push fit connectors to connect it up, only compression, anger ensued and its fate was sealed.
  14. Junkers Bosch 10 litre electric heater

I had push fit pipe and you use inserts on every end. Can’t recall if you can mount horizontal, I think not. You can’t actually buy that water heater from amazon now anyway, screwfix sell a 1500w 6L water heater by redring which I’d recommend, it’s the one I use now as I broke the Junkers one...
  15. Junkers Bosch 10 litre electric heater

I used this for my 15mm pipe https://www.screwfix.com/p/pegler-px41-brass-compression-adapting-female-coupler-15mm-x/5725g
