How to bolt a shipping container to a steel flatbed

Hi,

I've just bought a MAN HX60 truck and would like to buy a shipping container and bolt it to the flatbed. The shipping container is going to have some steel bearers added to the floor. Just not sure what type of bolt and other fixings I should use. Does anyone know what the safest and most secure way of doing this would be?

Must be high tensile bolts, same goes for adding internal seats for travel.

Have you considered the weight of this solution? Shipping containers is build for more rough handling than you need, meaning thicker material and weight.
On the other hand you get a ready box to build on.

Hi ISO containers as they are called are fastened together @corners & midpoint using a lever or a turn buckle clamp see picture
The idea is a good one until you add the weight of the ISO then the weight cost + complexity of reinforcing of the chassis to locate it securely brake suspension upgrades etc etc
Then you will have to get your vehicle sva tested for safety and then insurance
Much cheaper & ¼ of the weight would be a Luton body or 2 & join together or even an ambulance box 12'*7', I have one of these as a static home from home and it's perfect plenty of head room

Much cheaper lighter lower ( Bridges are a serious consideration height limit as well as weight limit
The size weight & height of your vehicle will severely limit where you can & many national parks will not allow this type of vehicle
