Too much work, it's over-running into Betty Build time :( Also waiting for the new window man to return and fit my windows.

well guys, guess we can always watch some youtube videos, guys 😁

And that is where and why I am a tad disillusioned and in no way shape or form is this intended as a criticism of Phil and his mod. team, but on here I have seen several examples over recent months of people who are blatantly promoting their Youtube videos when patently the level of conversion or quality, let alone the viability is one which this esteemed group should in effect be promoting.

I for one strongly believe the self promotion of such Youtube trash ought to be banned and anyone attempting to do so, ought to be shown the door toot sweet!

Even now I endlessly promote our Group on the various other groups I participate on, on the dreaded FaceBook whenever I see it is pertinent to do so, but if there isn't enough activity, then I can understand why they don't want to get involved

There are certain youtube channels that I am very happy to promote that are really useful & helpful I think and are worthwhile most self-builders having a look at, but they are popular through word of mouth and reputation rather than self-promotion.

For myself, when I make any changes to my Motorhome which I think others may find interesting or helpful, I post the details here and sometimes if appropriate post 'tasters' on such threada as "what did you do to your van today" on motorhomer.com with a link to the detail here :)

I should really just post the info on my website I suppose and put a link to that really, but I really don't like to spam forums/'the internet' with identical multiple posts. I just find it disrespectful to both the site members and forum owners who spend time and money to manage a site.
(I will sometimes create a blog entry on my site replicating a subject I've posted if I think it useful to have a permanent/historical reference though)

Sorry I've posted so much about rust holes, but I have found a lot :(
I've tried to limit the doom and gloom, but older vehicles tend to have a lot wrong with them. Otherwise they'd be in service.
I think stripping some of the gloss will show what it's really like to do a safe and strong self build.

Part way down a bottle of nice Malbec watching the sunset....

Finished wiring in the starter battery to Ring rscdc30 cables yesterday before we left for the Llyn peninsula (fitted the solar panel/Ring rscdc30 during covid but never got around to the cables for the b2b bit as the solar was coping fine....

Noticed on our recent 2 weeks that the sun/solar was poor now later in the season..... And the standard split charge wasn't coping with the 3 x 110 ah gels....

All good now though... Its like I've turboed the engine charging.

You have done the community a great service with your build thread!

I for one have learnt to never consider a bus for a conversion (I was thinking of doing so before :) )
