Busy time the last few days..

Since I've owned my Movano it's made some awful whining noises from all over. Wheel bearings, drive shafts and gearbox...

So over the last few days it's been sorted, yesterday we fitted a new gearbox, front wheel bearings and both drive shafts. Also a service. Today I was up at the crack of dawn, always makes me smile that..

Anyway I wanted to get rid of some weight so I took out the old sold bed base and the seats. All made out of 1" mdf. Ive now replaced them with pine slats... also put in some extra vents under the bed to help with condensation.

Only the rear wheel bearings to do and it will be a new van!!

I also have been busy.

Finally sorted out the replacement and fitting of new gas struts for the pull down cab bed. To say a Ben Hur of a job, was an understatement.

Been continuing with the slow task of down sizing the contents, not an easy task for an excuse armed, hoarder, such as myself.

Took a walk to S V Tech on Friday, for a chat with Gareth and I have to say, i left very impressed.

So, will be returning mit camper, on Monday to re-plate.

About to have lunch of meatballs in a tomato, basil and balti sauce. Then time for a Spring clean, while i have 240v before heading off in the morning.

The two (as of now) main outstanding jobs:

Enlarge and replace bathroom sink plug hole. No rush here.

Find the cause of the *drip over the windscreen, in to the dashboard (well bowl ,atm) Rush here!

Do you have a part tube of teh idea stuff to use? have you packed it for Bugsworth? :)

*A prize (pint or otherwise) for anyone on the Bugsworth Basin meet, who can find 'The source of the Drip on Dash' more prizes for the man, or woman who can stop it!!! The same person may claim both prizes. Prize(s) limited to an individual or split evenly between a team.

Disclaimer: The above challenge is not, in part or full, a Wild Camping competition. Cash alternatives maybe offered, employees and direct relatives of employees of Wild Camping may enter, just stop the DRIP!!!

'Pint' or multiples there for are limited to ales, lagers, porters, stouts and soft drinks. Wine, Port and Spirit alternatives, will be served in smaller measures.

I accept the challeng, not the sink one though. The drip one...??

Now will there be anyone at Bugsworth who has a plung router.. I wonder..

Does taking the windscreen out so that its a gush rather than a drip count?:eek::lol-053:

GWAYGWAY

Is it condensation that finds it's way through the lining in one particular place?

Ahh! that is simple it is the one that starts at the back panel and runs along every piece of wood on the vehicle in a very slow rate until it finally arrives at the drip, it soaks every bit ot wood on it turning them to paper mache consistency.
Just to cheer you up.:lol-053::lol-053::scared:

So this weekend we fitted new shocks all round and if anyone has ever tried to do this on a Master or a Movano will know it's not a straightforward job. Rear wheel bearings and fitted some new brackets on the gear linkage...

It now drives like a new van. So I'm well pleased.
