What glue ??

Ive just had a pallet of foil covered kingspan delivered to insulate walls and roof of my van.
Any recommendations on what sort of glue to use. Will spray contact adhesive work or is there anything better ?

You need high temperature glue or you could try spray foam in a can.
You should also have a vapour barrier neat to the van skin. Most folk use foil backed bubble wrap.

If I was going to insulate a van again I would have it professionally spray foamed.

So would I have spray foaming done, you can buy cans for mixing and spraying through a special gun but for a smal job that might be dear, a quote for a pro company might surprise you,, both ways that is high and low. The foam is rigid and WILL crack when put up. there will always be a space between it and the bodywork for water to gather from condensation.

Cheers Folks. Ive got a big tube of glue that sets like expanding foam. I`ll check the label and see what it is

I looked into spay foaming the lot but theres quite a few folks on a sprinter forum who had bad results with panels deforming from the heat of the foam setting reaction. So I decided kingspan for the panels and recycled bottle insulation for the beams would be a safer bet .

The vapour barrier needs to be on the warm side of the insulation. So for a refrigerated van, next to the van skin is correct. For a van you will be heating, it is not.
