Swapping to led bulbs

I have a couple of reading lights with 12v bulbs, can these be swapped for led bulbs. Thanks

Easy depending on bulb type,if its the single contact bayonet type car bulb then these on ebay pure or soft white about £1.50 1156 .
But if its the sec type its a mr11 smd led.

I had strip lights in mine and took them out and used the led strip/reels from ebay, i also fitted them to the overhead lockers. one reel was ample for very little money.

We just replaced ours last week. Get the bulb out to check what you have ( ours had two pins that just pulled out of little holes in the fitment). Purchased new ones on EBay, no problems. Had the warm ones in living area and the white lite in bathroom

Does anyone have a link to any bayonet fit led bulbs that would replace a cpl of bulbs in my camper that are the same as a normal house bulb?

If there the same size bayonet as house type in b22 smd led 12 volt led and they will come up,there about £6 and i have them in a inspection lamp that clips to van battery and bright they are to.
But if you mean the car size bayonet then type in 1156 smd led 12 volt bulb,smd means surface mount diode which is the new type.

Thanks trev yeah same size as the house type bayonet,i'll have a look

Will get the bulbs out on sunday then post make. I already have led main lights its just the reading lights.

Called b22 british 22 mm b for bayonet.
usa & europe screw is e27 ,edison 27mm.
There are loads on ebay but dont buy a all in one lamp,get a lamp which takes a 1156 car type bulb so if it goes its a simple replacement rather than a compleat new lamp.

Thanks for replies chaps, will have look on eblag see what's about. the bulbs are proper stuck just cant budge them. Probly been there 15 years or more in the donor caravan.

I got some led strips of eblag and gutted the old lights out.Glued the led strips inside and works great and all under £3. Happy days.

The strips are fine but if they go on the blink then its a job changing where as a simple bulb change from your spairs box can be done in seconds.
