Renault Master/Vauxhall Movano rear door locking mechanism.... help needed please

Over the past few weeks I have been noticing a strange wuurrring noise from the back barn doors when unlocking.
So on one of the facebook groups I sought advice and have now purchased a new one of these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Renault-...tYh7RzP_05hKFiJhaJ09uWIsXAPPW_nadXwzFtfR5Bq3I

I removed the rear door card and worked out (eventually) how to remove the old locking device but on the way I had to tie out of the way some of the rods that connect the various handles to the mechanism but only at the end which was getting in the way.

Everything was going very well indeed until all of a sudden the main rod that connects the external door release latch to the locking mechanism suddenly decided to detach itself from the lock mechanism end.......................... AND THAT IS WHERE I AM RIGHT NOW, as frustrated as hell as I can't see where the infernal and very bent rod attaches to any of the levers or things further up out of sight.
It very clearly came out of a plastic lined socket or similar as there is zero metal to metal contact high spots, but can I see where one is, can I hell as like.

It is a long shot, but can any kind sole point me in the right direction or possibly even have the relevant pages of a workshop manual please?

many thanks

Phil

I can't help you, but I feel your pain :( I had to take a Dremel to my rear VW tailgate to expose the mechanism to fix the same "popped out rod" problem.
Hope you find an answer - and remember there is a Nissan version of the same van, so if searching on line, include that as well (you never know!)

Having had a relatively sleepless night thinking about the problem, I attacked with aggressive vigor this morning and am pleased to say I found an answer to my problem which turned out to be a an almost impossible to get to and small broken return spring on the levers of the main rear door release actuating system.

So, as we don't use the internal door handle for the simple reason that it is impossible to get to it with my build, I grabbed hold of my magical multi tool and lopped off a part of a bracket that was preventing me reaching the mechanism, found a suitable spring and with a lot of jiggery pokery I suddenly had a great big cheesy grin across my chubby cheeks 😁.... job done.
