Propex exhaust?

Do i need to put something in the hole in the bottom of my van for the exhaust? The van floor is ply as well as metal and i wondered about the heat from the exhaust affecting the ply..!

there should always be a gap between a gas flue and any combustible material I see the installation instructions state a 32 mm hole for a 25 mm flue and remove any carpet in the area, but if I remember rightly gas regulation state 25 mm away from any combustible surface so I would play safe and cut away the timber floor to give a 25 mm gap. This gap can be filled with any fireproof material if required to reduce draughts etc.

my instructions say 40mm, but I note that the previous ones were 32mm.

Half tempted to go with 32mm as I have a step-drill that is just the right size
