Firstly don't consider myself a motorhome builder but developing my campervan unit. My former swb Renault trafic high top worked but the mileage was getting large and accommodation getting tight for me, two Bedlingtons, a kayak and E mtb despite a rotating passenger seat and Rock and Roll bed + external bike carrier.

Spotted a well maintained Renault Master 10 seater minibus with half the mileage half that of the trafic. Additionally already has windows all round, carpeted walls and roof, two opening roof lights and ebersbacher heater on Ebay. Too good to miss.

Images of the interior. The chairs can be moved to clear the side and also the table and support leg to allow transport of the kayak. The wheelchair lift needs to go to allow room for the bike in transit.

Just make sure everything is well anchored down before you travel. Many people have been killed by loose objects in the back.

Well aware of that thanks - trouble is one of the dogs happily chews through the strap to his harness within minutes.

Whoops just realised that I may have some members intent on creating a luxury motorhome. Used to have a half share in a Burstner Delphin - loved its luxury but the size restricted use in the areas I love. Extricating from wildcamping poi spots was occasionally difficult and sat nav approaches to mtb rescues with an inch either side was wearing. Equally maintaining the interior from scuffs was onerous.
The offside of the interior is to be fixed. The nearside chairs are movable and hopefully the table leg will be more easily removable with use.
Then the only thing for your oh so naughty four legged friend is a secure cage.
Intending to use a piece of chain instead of tape to his harness.

Thanks everyone for your comments regarding my project so far.

Just had a conversation with a helpful member of staff at DVLA regarding taxation class and conversion. As expected I will need to change the taxation class - my involvement in transporting disabled people to and from Wheels for All sessions without charge effectively means that the tax class needs to revert to private vehicle and am expecting an email to explain how to go about doing so.

Similarly he has offered to send an email regarding current guidance on the change of body type.

Some shots of the van. Most fixed units are on the offside - bed/settee. sink, gas & meths burners, shelf plus curtain to hide the portaloo. The near side has three narrow Ikea shoe lockers for tinned food, rice & noodles - crockery & cutlery -and miscellaneous items like midge repellant and dog shower. Two seats and the table mount into the floor and can moved around using the click & fix system. The layout allows me to transport my recumbent trike, E-mountain bike and kayak. The ice box fridge can operate on 12 or 240 volts. The leisure battery and several storage boxes fit under the bed. Need to wait until next week for curtain material. Only tried threading the sun canopy so far as there is too little road space to erect either it or my drive away awning.
