nice , but not new idea . have had my teardrop caravan 30 yrs now . used to tow it behind my trike . then various other vehicles . the first are in morocco in 2000 then some taken at the bongo fest here in cornwall.
it was secondhand when i bought it . it originally was used by a chap that towed it behind his m,bike and sidecar . it was done in the blue and brown to match his sidecar . busmar i think it was .
but great bit of kit . sleeps two inside . sits two out the back but add the side tent and 4 get beds .

the last pic is going down one of the deep valley tracks towards tata in morocco. look carefully and you can just make out the vw and the tear.
was a bit frightening but had to go down ,it was that steep you couldnt drive upwards once you started .

take it yours is like mine it could tell many stories about your adventures .
my grandkids like sleeping in mine . dare say it will be going to one of them in years to come .
mine was our luxury camper . compared with putting up a tent when we went to m,bike weekends with the trike .
mind i still have lots tents as well . got my first pup tent . and my mum and dads tent that they had when i was a kid . they bought that second hand bet its 70 or more years old now . happy memories cant beat them.

my grand kids sleep in mine even in the garden ,. mind in summer they use tents or what ever .
the eldest likes using my dads old navy hammock strung across my garage .
gotta teach them how to survive .
when they see pics of tree houses and things like camps we had as kids they want the same .
cant do them any harm.

You will find they are keeping all the rules.

yes dare say we will. mind its probably good for trailers to at least have a check now and again .
some rules are rules that make sense.
uk doesnt mot trailers quite like some of eu.
it will be interesting as and when it all happens .

Several years back at the Elvaston Steam Rally Elvaston Steam Rally - Home a whole corner of one of the camping fields was reserved for them.

There must have been 50+ with some very clever and weird designs :rolleyes2: The owners were more than willing to discuss the builds and show them off :hammer:

That area had more people wandering around, chatting and taking photos than any other section of the camping fields

There were a few guys in the trike club I was in had teardrops of one form or another. There is (or was) a company somewhere up here (Northwards) that started making them around 10 years ago maybe a little less but I can't find them now. There are other manufacturers though and can look very smart

If they bring in testing for tractors, does that mean we will then be able to transfer the reg numbers from them?
I would love to be able to transfer the number from mine.
