just window shopping on potential base vehicles - this one caught my eye as a good base for a top spec conversion (Way out of my price range though...).
especially when you add on over £6k of VAT to the posted price :(

nice van though :)

I don’t know on eBay rules sorry. I was more joking that the price without VAT was too rich for me 👍

If I did have the money and I suppose more importantly the capability of doing a conversion I could purchase a new vehicle without paying VAT due to disability. The van would be built to suit me so no problem.

like I say though it was more a joking reference to being too much 😂

Surly with ebay rules, vat must be included in the price?
It has to be noted that it needs to be added if they don't show it up-front.

I think the general rule is a website (or shop) that is targeted for Consumers must show VAT inclusive prices, and one targeted for Business Users can show either.
I would say eBay is a consumer site generally but does have a lot of business users (my sales used to be pretty well 50/50 Consumer/Business). But unusually, eBay has a big mix of business and non-business sellers as well to add confusion.

Well set up sites give you the option - such as Amazon if you have a business account, you choose; and Vistaprint you choose as well. I like that approach and I do wish eBay provided that feature for easier comparisions.

I have gone right if ebay for selling but I am not a business seller. I always seemed to do something wrong and lose out, I know it is what I am doing but as an occasional user I thought it rubbish to sell.

On the other hand I have recently sold loads of stuff on Facebook marketplace and it’s extremely simple with absolutely no fees.

have you looked at marketplace for your stuff Dave?

not to any degree TBH. I occasionally dip into facebook groups and find generally they are usually full of fatuous discussions and arguments and I don't want to end up with someone buying something from me not knowing what they are doing and then posting "this bloke sold me crap stuff" type comments. Forum users on the other hand are usually more intelligent!
