Iveco Daily Extra High Roof

the saunters

Hi,
Has anyone got an Iveco daily with the extra high roof? This is the van we are hoping to buy soon and am looking at sleeping my 8 yr old above the cab. Just wondered if any of you with this van have done this? and realistically, can a child sleep comfortably up there?
Ta, Dan.

Well,Ive never seen a higher roof than on my 2006 Daily (40c14),so I presume its the model youre talking of.Theres a strengthening ribbed bar across the tops of the door posts ,so cant be cut out to make the space lower ie less cab headroom.Personally,I cant see it being easy to sleep up there. Can measure height etc if you want.

Depending on the layout your planning, you could build a single bunk bed over the double bed area, or make a hammock to rest on fixings between the front seats. Vw Westphalia used to make one like that.

Approximate measurements. All taken at base of area (front ,ends and roof taper)
Height top of brace i mentioned to roof skin 15"
width.ie length of bed.useable area,not skin to skin 56"
Depth ie width of bed 28"
Hope this helps.
As already posted, various places to put a single bed.
If your in my area, come and look at mine.
