Interesting Build Series on YouTube

Came across this Channel a few weeks ago - 'Ladi & Margaret'.
They are building a camper on a ex-DPD Ducato and it is a current build being carried out in a small village in the Czech Republic.

They have a distinct advantage of a well-equipped and spacious workshop, but they also have the advantage of clearly being able to know how to use all those tools.
Pretty impressed (y)

(Not checked them out, but there looks to be some very interesting videos elsewhere on their channel made prior to this current build as well. Channel Link - https://www.youtube.com/c/ladiandmargaret/videos )

Thanks for finding and linking this (just binged it), this guy really switched on and as you say has distinct advantages but also has the skills. Waiting now to see how the roof windows turn out.

Should be primed with zink rich two pack epoxy after soda blasting.
Trevor, some kind of pre-treatment/rust inhibitor would have been a better way to go. Painting white hammarite directly to the steel made me cringe too. The instructions says it's fine! Very few of us have had rusty vehicles long enough to know what works and what doesn't.
Let's face it, the van will probable never get finished. They will argue over a lack of money due to it being spent on the van. Split up and he'll find comfort in the arms of his mate Boris! She'll sign up to a model agency and do things never mentioned in the bible for a select group of viewers.

But seriously, everyone believes utube and the like is all done be trained and qualified experts. People would never take these projects on if they knew what was really required to do the job well. Just watch smile and enjoy.

Hmmm.... I find a hair dryer works well for removing vinyl wrap. Have only watched the first section, be interesting to see how they get on with their budget. I remember what is was like being young with so much energy......

Seeing this is not their first build and what Ladi specifically has done before, there is no doubt this van will be finished and will look good.

Are they going around again with a new van? The last van they built was meant to be the 'last van anyone could hope to have.'

So experienced they decided on a ex DPD van ....

Pretty much every DPD van I've ever seen has been driven like it had been stolen by a knuckle dragging smoothbrained neanderthal .

I think the use of anything with hammerite on it will likely be the least of any issues .

Our youngest son used to point them out excitedly and now every time we see a DPD van we automatically translate it as Diplodocus…..
Blind Rudolph why he saw the original connection but it’s stuck with us now.
