fitting disco led's

daisymini

Ive just bought these off fleabay for £11...
My question is??? i know i can split them and i know i can buy extra length of wire (im going down either side of my cupboards) and it doesnt come with a power pack..
So....~Do i need the power pack or can i just wire them straight into my 12v fuse board???

Don't know about disco led's but I have led's on the outside as marker lights and you don't need a transformer as long as they are under 5 metres. You can split them on every third one, you should be able to see the + and - signs which is where you solder the new wires on. I'm sure that someone will explain it better than me shortly.

did all the lighting in my bus with the led strip, cut where the mark is, usually every third, clean up the contacts, solder wire on. I put a bit of heat shrink over the joints, tidy it up and protect it. all wired straight off fuse board.

hi, iv got set of those lights in my van. Also got from ebay. They work fine strait from 12v supply. I split mine so i can have them on in living area or in the bedroom. There great fun. All best

I used a strip of straight whites as an awning light, stuck under the awning case with sealant & wired straight into the Zig panel awning light switch. Work great off 12v with no additional electronics required. Mine were less than a fiver inc p&p, great value compared to commercial awning lights staring at 15-20 quid & using more power when on.
