Extension to rear door lever on PVC

Has anyone a solution to operate the back door lever from a higher position e.g where you have a rear bed/garage arrangement so that you can still open the door from inside? I'd need to have it 60cm higher than current so it could be accessed from the bed.

The sprinter self locks so the problem is worse. At the handle
But I have seen a video where they make brake/ throttle cables for stuff.
Thats the route im going. With a outer sheth and exterior drivers door handle.

Yours looks like a 1/4 turn lock? Or is it ?

Mines a spring action. So can pull .
Cars now have bars not cables, but still use the plastic elbows.at each end.

So yours was a twist handle! Did you have to place a spring so it so it returned to lock, or is it just push and pull? Open closed as left.
Relock from outside.
Looking good handle above the bed now. Mine the pull handle will be above door window. So it won't jab or catch anything.

Did you make cable or buy it? If so do they sell upto 2M in length ?.
TIA

No spring needed as the latch is sprung to return. Lock/unlock on key fob so will put a shelf on door for phones, keys etc. So can always lock unlock from bed in emergencies or to open doors to soak up the sun rise/set. Bought the cable here Bowden cable made the brackets from some aluminium angle
