Cooker hob unit help ASAP please..

I have his a problem With my self build, my fridge won't fit over the wheel arch without our raising the whole unit up.

My question, what's the minimum clearance you need between the hob and a shelf/ cupboard above the hob. Domestic law for homes say there needs to be a set clearance like 60cm I think.

Our Swift has a gap of 450mm between top of cooker and cupboard above .. Just measured it hope it helps ..

Compass Castaway 2006 model, 550mm between top of hob and the microwave cupboard.

You can always put a thin sheet of galvanized metal under the cupboard just in case but don't think you will need it.
