Cable for solar panel.

I'm moving the sola pannel (100w)to the back of the van. So I can fit a skylight.. that's a job for another day. Any offers of help greatly received ?
So yesterday I went looking to buy some new cable. Impossible in Norwich. So can anyone recommend a supplier.?

I don't bother with all of that colour coding malarkey Gordon.

If I can find a terminal and the connector fits, that's where it's going.

For one X 100W panel I wouldn't be bothered with all that 6mm sq. solar cable malarkey either. 2.5mm sq. flat twin 25A should be fine.

Having consulted the table though, 2.5 should be ok!

I'm using 4mm on mine though as it certainly won't hurt and moneywise it's nothing.

Worthwhile getting UV-Safe cable. As mentioned, you can get this for around £10 for 2 lengths of 5M 2.5mm cable with MC4 connectors and that (IMO) would be spot on.

What I've found is that the larger spec. cabling can in some circumstances be difficult to install ie less flexible and some terminals at the panels can be a tight fit, make that bloody awkward. Also twin flat 2.5mm auto cable is made within a protective sleeve, the larger sizes are supplied as single cables at least as far as I can ascertain.
