    HTF's campervan build

Changed my battery bank from 3 automotive Lucas start/stop AGM 95 ah batteries to 3 AGM deep cycle 125 ah. Not a big difference in size and weight but quite a difference in capacity. Now I can run my compressor refrigerator and separate 20 L freezer without worries. I don't like being dependent...

    Tyre pressure light

Some strange happened today. My 2015 Citroen Relay/Jumper is indicating low tyre pressure but it doesn't have the system 🤪

    Citroen Relay seat

I made the rotating bases to size. There are some photos of the bearing on my build thread.

    Portable Microwave

For those who want a portable power tool battery operated microwave oven, Makita has one at ridiculous price o_O https://amzn.eu/d/j1mF3k8

    New batteries

I got mine 125 Ah for 200€ tax included.

    New batteries

The batteries I installed on my new van were removed from the one I sold. I had upgraded the ones that came with the van originally with 3 Lucas 95 Ah start/stop AGM batteries. One for the van and two for the camper side. The fridge was gas powered so for pump and lighting these were more than...

    Citroen Relay seat

On my build, I removed the originals and got myself a pair of Renault Megane Coupé front seats. Very comfortable seats. The rear double seat came from a Citroen Jumpy. I didn't like the original double seat's head rest. https://motorhomebuilder.com/attachments/1695231670508-png.5987/

    HTF's campervan build

Thanks for the comment. I have a big difficulty repeating things. I like to innovate and challenge myself. I've proved myself that I could do something to be proud and share without fear of saying "I made that". I'm looking for a new challenge :)

    SBMCC

I think l can confirm that SBMCC as a zombie forum. Joined last Friday and didn't receive the customary "welcome" message. Posted on the "New to the forum" an introduction and it was viewed 7 times again with no reaction. The post on my build got a whopping total of 44 views and a massive...

    HTF's campervan build

Hi. The van unloaded and with a 100kg driver is still under the 3500kg limit otherwise it would not pass the MOT inspection every year. Loaded it will go a little overweight, unfortunately although the maximum permitted weight per axle which is 2100 kg front and 2400 kg on the back is well...

    HTF's campervan build

As a measure of safety, I installed some safety blocking of the front doors on the inside. Bolted a traditional car pilar door "latch receiver" and made some plasma cut hooks that clamp the doors shut by leveraging on the lower seat belt support. A winged bolt tightens the clamp.

    High altitutide hazard

As I mentioned before, my cassette has this valve that releases the pressure. When inserted in place, a little protrusion presses the button to vent the pressure, in my case to the underside of the van. Since I don't have a traditional cassette door since I mounted a sealed electric cabinet door...

    High altitutide hazard

Strange. My cassette, as soon as you insert it, presses a button to open a vent  There should be no pressure inside.

Well I’ve gone & bought our next van.. although it’s not a van yet!

Unfortunately, over here, the ferry that crosses the river just 300m from my house will charge me almost double the price just because my van is a camper. When I want to go to the beach on the Peninsula, I drive around the 70Km to get there  Light-duty passenger, goods and dual use...

    HTF's campervan build

Everything on and idle, less than 25W. This draw would empty the batteries in a little over 5 days if there were no charge at all. The fridge alone, an average of 12w/h. Haven't had any problems with power shortage, yet. When the van is in storage, the batteries are completely disconnected from...

    HTF's campervan build

This concludes the build :D. There is never a "final" job as I said before because, there is always something that can be improved or added. I hope you folks liked and feel free to comment. It was my pleasure to share a few photos of my build.
