12v fridge heater

Title says it all - if the fridge heater is rated for 12v & the alternator throws out ~ 14.2, will the 2v difference shorten the life of the heater ?

If it's a fridge built for a motorhome it should be fine.

It's usually only (some) domestic 12v goods that need a clean 12v power. Some LED lights or TV's for instance. Unless something has been added to a motorhome to regulate the power, it's never an actual 12v.
