  1. Not a Self-build, but a Tweaker

I expect a 'professional' was doing something in a rush and dislodged the pipe. You get used to what you have and unless you've been in another of the same you don't know how it should be. My old Bessacarr really belts the heat out all over the van in 'top gear' rated output is 6kw. Even in a...

There are some photos on motorhomer - maybe cut-paste or link issue?
  3. Not a Self-build, but a Tweaker

Interesting thought there - it would be nice to think you could have benefit of PHGV taxwise but not need C1. However I don't think you can have your cake and eat it 😀 It would seem that quite a few people do down rate their Van's if they gave C1 problems and given how infrequent checks are and...

Mine did have something I think - but don't have a photo of original. Down rate might had something to do with it but who knows with DVLA 😀😀 But the main point is not having two different numbers to confuse plod - even in this country 😀

No mine is 2004 Bessacarr E745 coachbuilt. It was originally plated at 3850 but had been down rated to 3500 (which it could never achieve when being used!!) The upgrade back to 3850 was an easy DIY job but when I went for 3950 they changed to the revenue figure but left the Max Permissible Mass...

I have to send mine back to DVLA as whil6 they had changed revenue weight they hadn't altered the MAM.

    Talk about big brother! 😀
  8. Not a Self-build, but a Tweaker

Tbf - having looked it up I see that it's not as big as it looks 😀 A neat bit of kit - very Victron.
  9. Not a Self-build, but a Tweaker

Very organised - if that's the "compact" Easy Plus I wouldn't like to have to be fitting the standard size 😀😀

I liked the videos Clark posted - he seemed to be a very practical no nonsense guy.
  11. Not a Self-build, but a Tweaker

That's impressive and so much easier to layout and wire up on level outside the van rather than in-situ - even if you have a half decent area to work in.
  12. Not a Self-build, but a Tweaker

And you got the give away lettering off as well 😀 Neat job!

You may find that there is a manifold with a valve for the fridge pipe so you can belt and brace the supply cut off? Screenshot of Cheyenne Handbook below

Good to see you managed to get a black one - looks like it's always been there. Neat job!
  15. Turbo-charging Motorhome Electrics

Thanks for the comprehensive report. It's amazing how well it can work and proves that going 'all electric' is now a viable option without enormous expenditure or massive weight penalty.
